Tapioca flour prodution machine

Description of tapioca:

The tapioca root is long and tapered, with a firm, homogeneous flesh encased in a detachable rind, about 1 mm thick, rough and brown on the outside.  A woody vascular bundle runs along the root's axis. The flesh can be chalk-white or yellowish. Tapioca roots are very rich in starch and contain significant amounts of calcium (50 mg/100g), phosphorus (40 mg/100g) and vitamin C (25 mg/100g).

Description of tapioca flour production:

Here is the introduction of the tapioca flour production process and tapioca flour production machine used in these processes:

1.Sorting and Cleaning: The tubers are sorted to select the wholesome roots for production. And then it is cleaned in dry sieve to remove sand, weed and other impurities.

2.Washing: The weighed tapioca roots are then transported into paddle washing machine. And it is washed with sufficient quantity of potable water to remove sand, dirt and other contaminants.

3.Grating: The root is milled to cassava mash by rasper. Rasper is an important tapioca flour production machine for it determines the starch extraction rate.

4.Separating: The fiber is removed from cassava slurry in centrifuge sieve. Then it goes into fine fiber sieve to further separate fine fibers from starch.

5.Concentration and refining: In this process, the widely used tapioca flour production machine is hydrocyclone station. A complete hydrocyclone station can achieve the concentration, recycling and refining of the cassava milk.

6.Dewatering: The moisture content of the mash is reduced mechanically by the vacuum dewater machine to about 38% to prepare for drying operation.

The decription of cassava starch processing:

(1) Raw material receiving and belt conveying: The cassava/tapioca is carried and transported on the conveyer.

(2) Water cleaning and destoning : The water will wash the cassava and destoning during the process of conveying.

(3) Crushing: The crushing unit is the most important step for extracting cassava starch. Highly-efficient crushing machine will release the starch in cassavas at most.

(4) Centrifugal extracting:The cassava starch slurry and residue  will be separated from the starch milk.

(5) Desanding: Removing the sand in the starch slurry.

(6) Concentration and refining:Working through the hydroclone, there are 2 steps, including concentration and refining so that we can get purier starch slurry.

(7) Vacuum dewatering: The starch slurry is pumped into inlet tank of vacuum dewatering machine.

Then the vacuum rotary drum will adsorb the starch on the drum surface and the filtrate is transferred out of the system by filtrate pump. The filter cake on the drum will be peeled off by peeler and then transferred to the air dryer by screw conveyor.

(8) Air-stream drying: After dewatering process, the air dryer will dry the starch to the required moisture of the commercial starch.
